Adam grew up in the NAC and married his sweetheart Emily in 2006. They have three beautiful children, Jonah, Adalynne & Simon. Adam is an artist, a teacher and a Bible Illustrator. “I believe my background in painting has given me the opportunity to discover the splendors of nature that are often overlooked in the hustle and bustle of today’s fast passed lifestyle. My motivation to teach and create comes from the essence of the Creator.
In early 2004 I was told that I should give up painting and become a sculptor. I replied by sharing that sculpture is what one bumps into when backing up to look at a painting in a museum. I could not have guessed that ten years later I would be throwing on the potter’s wheel and sharing the Good News through Jeremiahs experience. Seven years of teaching Ceramics at the high school level has taught me to be patient. It has also given me time to attest to the fact that we are so much like clay. We can be molded, remolded and even molded again. We go through the fires of this life so that we can be strengthened just like clay in the kiln. The end result is different for everyone and our purposes are unique. So my job is to build your curiosity so that you might look in the mirror and wonder, what purpose do I have? What will my legacy be?
